As Chief Analytics Officer, Lisa provides analytical leadership at Harmonic. She leads specific analytics projects, working alongside the COO to ensure Harmonic data science teams retain standards of integrity while delivering projects on time and within budget.
Lisa is a strong advocate for data science and has an active presence in the analytical community. She has a prominent role in business development and communications for Harmonic.
A highly qualified data scientist, Lisa has a PhD in Statistics and a Bachelor of Science (First Class Honours) from the University of Auckland.
Lisa joined Harmonic in April 2010 and is highly skilled in advanced statistical modelling, machine learning and operations research. She has contributed to a diverse range of projects including: asset lifecycle management for Spark New Zealand, profitability analysis for Beef and Lamb New Zealand, churn management solution design, working with NEC Central Research Labs (an advanced data science team), asset management for Wellington City Council, Alarm log data exploratory analysis for Transpower New Zealand, analytical consulting for Housing New Zealand, professional consulting for Unison, and solution design to optimise task scheduling and personnel allocation.
Lisa is a natural teacher and has taught clients including Oracle APAC and Mighty River Power, how to get the best from R (statistical programming) for insightful data analysis and data visualisation.
A fluent Mandarin speaker, Lisa enjoys swimming, playing classical piano and reading crime novels - to inspire logical thinking.
