Robert Prendergast, Data Scientist, Wellington

Rob has a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Statistics and Mathematics from the University of Canterbury.

Rob joined Harmonic as a data scientist in July 2014 and works on detailed analytical projects for clients including Airways and Wellington City Council. Previously Rob worked for Foodstuffs North Island, as a retail pricing analyst. This involved reporting and benchmarking for stores, determining optimal pricing for groceries, and analysis of retail sales.

In his final summer at university, he spent 10 weeks as an intern at Landcare Research, processing data related to air quality in Christchurch. His work interests include statistical modelling, particularly Bayesian statistics and

Monte Carlo methods.

Danny Wu, Data Scientist, Auckland 

Danny joined Harmonic on the Callaghan Innovation grant, the 'R&D Experience scheme' – a summer internship programme. Danny will be helping Harmonic in a variety of fields. He is currently also completing the Bachelor of Computer and Information Science (Honours) degree at Auckland University of Technology (AUT).

His previous work experience includes a three month Internship for Oracle (South China).

Danny’s programming skills include: language of R, Java, Python, Bash script, SQL query, html and CGI script.
